There are so many ways to enjoy this charming lakeside area. Below you'll find just a few
Unplug and Relax
No need to even get back in your car. Just steps away from Acorn House, there are 13 miles of paved bike/walking trail that curves through the woods along the coast of Lake Huron and US-23. Bring a snack and sketch book, maybe a little camp chair. There will be places you’ll want to stop to take in along the way. Link to the trail. https://mitrails.org/alabaster-bike-path-arboretum-east.php If your family needs more bikes, rent some here: https://clarabellasbikerental.com/
Take a yoga class at Tawaste Yoga https://www.tawaste.com/ or let us know if you would like to arrange for one of their instructors to bring the yoga to you. Yoga on our deck listening to the waves crash in the background? Yes, please!
Use our kayaks and paddle up and down Lake Huron’s coast. Dawn and dusk paddles highly recommended for their absolute magic! Hunt for rocks and play in the sand along our 191 feet of shoreline. We have left our shoreline as natural as possible which means lots of mosses, fallen trees, and driftwood are home to plant and water life. We welcome you to explore and admire the waterline and beach gently.
Please remember to stay off the bluff so that it stays strong and solid to protect our shoreline.
