Huge decks, water views from almost every room, the sounds of waves, a centuries old beech tree that is begging you to sit under her and watch the freighters go by…. We want you to nap, swim, hike, breathe and find solace on our half acre of shoreline along one of Michigan’s Great Lakes. The Lake Huron Area is known as the Sunrise Side, and Acorn House showcases those sunrises in coziness, comfort, and style. If you are looking for a beautiful place to work or attend school remotely for a week or two, Lake Huron is stunning in every season, and Acorn House is fully equipped with wifi and lots of space to spread out to work.
Some of our family’s most cherished memories have been at the lake, and now that our children are grown, we have decided to work together with them to create special lake experiences for other families. We’ve dreamed up a lot of ways to make Acorn House welcoming, healing, and nurturing, but the biggest part of our dream is that families will fall in love with our space the way we have and make staying at Acorn House an annual tradition.
